Increase to National Minimum Wage rates

 

 

 

 

 

 

The government has recently announced increases to the national minimum wage rates. These changes will be mandatory as of 1st October 2013. The changes are as follows:

National Minimum Wage for an adult will increase by 12p to £6.31 an hour

National Minimum Wage for an 18-20 year old will increase by 5p to £5.03 an hour

National Minimum Wage for a 16-17 year old will increase by 4p to £3.72 an hour

National Minimum Wage for an apprentice will increase by 3p to £2.68 an hour

Accommodation Offset will increase by 9p to £4.91

You need to be aware of these changes and make the relevant adjustments to ensure your business remains compliant.
